Fiat 1100 TV Spider

TV for Turismo Veloce: the quick version of a car most of Italy was already driving. Fiat sold the 1100 in enormous numbers. The Trasformabile was the exception, designed inside Fiat by its special bodywork department and shown at Geneva in 1955. Only 142 were built.

Light, narrow and honest. It has a higher compression engine, a bigger carburettor, and independent front suspension with an anti-roll bar, all on the same platform as the saloon that half the country drove to work.
